eFlashCard: This is an Excel macro. It test the student on math exercises. Plus, Minus, Times, Divide, and even powers are tested with a flash card style. Time during thinking is measured and totaled for package of problems tested. Both raw score and a rating number that gets smaller that number attempted when student gets very good. The score uses a complex math calculation to rate a good student to have a score less than number of attempted problems. Beginning students will have scores 100-300 for 10 attempted problems. By the time they are scoring below 10 in a few weeks of daily exercises they will be better than 95% of the kids in their class. After child has learned enough to get all correct, then he/she should be running with 3 sets of 10 problems 5 times per week. Try to have the "rest" days NOT in a row.

There are separate menus for "teacher" and student. One "game" can hold as many students as desired. The "teacher" can add / delete students, and adjust many different choices. Some are: number problems per test, starting and ending number for 1st number, starting and ending number for second number. For example you could test for 4-6, 1-12 would be 4,5,6 times 1 through 12. I accidentally left 1-25, 1-25 once and my then, 12 year old son played for a couple of hours and nearly learned times tables up to 25 in one sitting. For the younger kids, you can work them with plus and minus tables the same way. I have written a help file (readme) and the menus have help assist hints to help you along.

Because this program runs in Excel 2000 and up I am using macros to make it run. I have included my own digital certificate for it to run. If you are afraid of excel macros, do NOT buy this. My email is included in the readme for those who may have additional questions.

The student flash cards are BIG with HUGE numbers in them. I suggest the student use the keypad and keypad enter key for best efficiency .

One menu sets up or adjusts students. Another sets up class / family. A third gets report on selected student and either displays / prints in a bar chart of all the previous runs. I plan to add menu to service and compact the history when the student had done a lot of tests. The bar charts get very crowded. For now just deleting the data and collapsing the blank slots is how to selectively compress many tests. By reviewing the bar charts you can see how much progress your child has made over the weeks or months since starting the "game".

I have sold several of these for $50.

Shipping will be via e-mail so is listed as $0.

This is a great exercise to use during the summer to keep their skills up and be ready for the new school year in the fall.

One program is good for the whole family.

      Enjoy it today.

I will try to capture some pictures and put them up soon.

      Fun even for adults too.

I will try to add some captures of the menus when I get them saved to a gif file. Done! See Screen shots viewer to left in green area.
